Drake Music Artist in Residence 2020

Between March and December, I was one of three Artists in Residence at Drake Music. The year turned out unlike anything we could have expected, adapting to lockdown and working remotely. But despite the challenges, we made a lot of things happen.

Services

The Anxious Mansion

A live performance, developed for and delivered over Zoom, bringing into play music, narration, audio description, shadow puppets and multi-camera filming. Find out more here.

Workshops and Masterclasses

I created interactive ZOOM workshops about my own music making practice in Ableton, and curated workshops by other artists to introduce to the DM Community, including one on ASMR by Julie Rose Bower.

Documenting The Residency

A monthly series of tracks responding to provocations and themes during the pandemic, and working with new Ableton tools and plugins. Listen on SoundCloud.

Presentations

I hosted ZOOM presentations of new music commissioned by Drake Music from disabled artists, and chaired Q&As between the artists and members of the wider public.
